Have you moved or do you have a change in address? If so, don’t forget to contact Betty Peters with an update!
Reminder: (excerpt from the September newsletter)
The new fiscal year for the Association begins in October and so to does planning & budgeting for 2014. We have enjoyed several successful fundraisers. They normally cover the operating budget for the park, which is around $42,000 annually, but we are looking at some improvements that will require funding above what we currently take in.
We have discussed kitchen updates for the past year. They are tentatively scheduled for November 2014. Current estimated cost is $35,000-$40,000 and we have ear-marked funds so far of about $5,000.
The parking lot and driveway asphalt are deteriorating. We are looking at repair/replacement in the next few years. Estimated cost for this is $60,000+.
Needless to say, we need to get creative in finding the funds for these projects. We can do that through an increase in Pavilion rentals and …
It is needed. We are asking our members if they have new ideas for raising additional funds. Would you like to see a different kind of event? Do you know of companies who would be interested in sponsoring an HAAA-produced event? Maybe you have a new idea altogether? We always looking for willing hands to chair or help with our existing events.
Our park is here for everyone’s enjoyment – please consider a small donation of your time and talents to support it. Thanks!
